Arrizo 8 2023 high-energy version 2.0TDCT Chi Chery Car
As a pioneer of domestic self-developed engines, Chery entered the self-developed stage when most manufacturers were still purchasing engines. In 2005, the first generation of ACTECO engines with Chery's independent intellectual property rights went into production. At that time, it cooperated with AVL of Austria. Now, turbocharged engines have been replaced for several generations.
The Arrizo 8 High Energy Edition is equipped with the new Kunpeng 2.0T engine, code-named SQRF4J20. In terms of technology, it uses the popular 350bar high-pressure direct injection (the old 1.6T only has 200bar), electronically controlled turbine pressure relief valve, variable displacement oil pump, twin-scroll turbocharger, dual balance shaft, cylinder head integrated exhaust system and reverse intake system. The technologies that exist in other brands are not left behind in Chery. These new technologies jointly improve the thermal efficiency of the engine.
What is special is that this engine uses CVVL continuously variable valve lift technology, similar to Honda's VTEC. CVVL can automatically match the best valve lift according to the engine speed and load, improve the engine's low-speed torque, and significantly help the high-speed power. On the one hand, it saves fuel during daily driving, and on the other hand, the engine oil will not be lazy when you want power.
According to tests, the engine with variable valve lift can reduce engine fuel consumption by 9% at 2000 rpm, and the high lift mode can be activated at medium and high speeds to provide faster and more violent torque bursts. Honda once launched a mass-produced car with a record-breaking power per liter with this technology.
