Specifically, in 16 developed markets such as Western Europe and Australia, MG sold nearly 380,000 units. Among them, MG4 EV, MG ZS, MG5 and other three models have entered the top 10 export list, and the sales of a single MG4 EV model in overseas markets exceeded 130,000 units, with a monthly sales volume of more than 10,000 units, becoming the European compact pure electric vehicle sales champion. In addition, the pure electric sports car MG Cyberster has been among the top three sports car sales for two consecutive months after its launch in November last year, including more than 300 units sold in December last year.

The year 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the MG brand. Saic has said it will hit its annual global sales target of 1 million vehicles this year.

Driven by the MG brand, in the past 2023, SAIC's overseas sales reached 1.208 million vehicles, an increase of 18.8% year-on-year, ranking first among Chinese auto companies for eight consecutive years, helping China's vehicle exports overtake Japan and rank first in the world. Among them, sales of independent brands accounted for nearly 92%, and sales of new energy vehicles accounted for nearly 24%.

In order to expand the scale of going to sea, on January 17, SAIC's first ocean-going car carrier (ro-ro) - "SAIC Anji Shencheng" opened its maiden voyage. As the world's largest active load and the highest degree of localization of clean energy ro-RO ship, SAIC Anji Shencheng will be the first to carry SAIC, Dongfeng and Yutong's own brand new cars to Europe.

Anji Logistics, a subsidiary of SAIC, is the world's largest automotive logistics company, covering nearly 600 cities in China and more than 100 countries overseas, with an annual shipping volume of 10 million vehicles. At present, Anji Logistics has 31 vehicles of various types, has built the largest self-operated fleet of automobile enterprises in China, and opened 7 international self-operated routes in Southeast Asia, Mexico, South America and Western Europe.

Saic said that in the next three years, SAIC Anji Logistics ocean fleet will join a total of 7000, 7600, 7800, 9000 car class 14 ocean carriers. In addition to SAIC's brands, Anji Logistics is also providing ocean vehicle logistics services for Dongfeng, Yutong, Great Wall and many other Chinese car companies.
